Jan Jernigan

Trailblazer is a word often used to describe Jan Jernigan. She has been a financial advisor for more than 35 years in a primarily male-dominated industry. While helping to make room for more qualified women, Jan has also mentored numerous men. She states it’s gratifying to help guide others’ success in this vital field.

When Jan first started after college, she was hired as a receptionist for a financial agency. When not greeting visitors, she filled the time by reading The Wall Street Journal. That sparked her interest and set her on the path to becoming a financial advisor in a time when very few women entered that industry. “I enjoy working with all my colleagues and clients, both male and female. We have overcome changes and challenges together over the years. I am forever grateful to those people who took the time to help propel me forward. And I certainly plan to continue to give back!”
