Carpet One Floor & Home has provided floor covering in the Midlands for 36 years. Wayne and Nancy Kirby are the owners of Carpet One and take great pride in customer service. From 1975 to 1986, Nancy was a Business English and Typing and Accounting teacher. Wayne was in manufacturing with Milliken and Co. from 1973 to 1983, including the position of Mill Superintendent. Then he spent four years traveling and selling floorcovering for Milliken.
In 1987 Wayne joined the Carpet One Co-Op of America, becoming the 86th dealer. Today the co-op has grown to more than 1,000 stores and is the largest purchaser of retail flooring in the world. Together Nancy and Wayne form an experienced ownership team.
