Ann E. Rice Ervin married her high school sweetheart in 2009. In the years after, chats between mother Lisa Summer Rice and daughter often returned to weddings as the duo longed to collaborate again. By 2016, their dream of owning a bridal boutique came true — followed by a second store acquisition three years later. The two industry staples hitched in 2019 to become what is now Maddison Row South in downtown Charleston.
Bolstered by gorgeous gowns and happily ever afters, the pair set their sights on helping more than just the bride find “the one” and became franchisee owners of Bella Bridesmaids Charleston. Today, they are the proud principals of all the South Carolina Bella Bridesmaids spanning Charleston, Columbia, and Greenville.
“Our vision was to become the single source for the perfect outfit for your whole wedding party. Expanding our footprint to Columbia just made sense to us given all our local ties,” said Ann E.
Key in bringing this vision to fruition with her eye for design, industry expertise, and collaborative approach was Alex Moring, the showroom manager of Columbia and Charleston and operations manager across all three SC Bellas. Celebrating almost a decade with the franchise, Alex is essential in delivering consistent premium service and selections to brides and their entire entourage.
“Over the years, we’ve curated a team of smart, compassionate, and capable women who set the standard for service and consistently exceed client expectations,” says Lisa. “Ann E. and I are very proud of what has been created.” Offering one of the largest collections of dresses from the world’s leading designers for brides, bridesmaids, mothers of the occasion, flower girls, debutantes, and more, this dynamic team of wedding industry fashion entrepreneurs are just getting started.
