What differentiates your business from others?
Columbia has really developed into a wonderful area to shop with many fabulous boutiques! At Monkee’s, you will experience boutique shopping as it’s meant to be — fun and personal. Not only is Monkee’s known to carry high-quality lines of shoes, clothing and accessories, we are also known for excellent customer service. It is important for our staff to have a thorough knowledge of the brands we carry to better help with our customers’ needs. Instead of shopping at big department stores, customers travel to Monkee’s for an intimate shopping experience.
What do you like best about your line of work? What inspires you daily?
Monkee’s was built on a love of fashion and growth through a focus on personal customer relationships. The owners and associates of each Monkee’s location have an incredible eye for style and are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service. We are proud to be a part of such a reputable franchise family. I definitely feel you should enjoy what you do to be successful. All Monkee’s boutiques are independently owned and operated. Having the opportunity to travel and hand select what we sell is truly special. For us, it’s about helping a friend walk out feeling beautiful and looking her best. What is something people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
Monkee’s of Columbia is locally owned and operated by a mother/daughter team of my two daughters, Taylor Stocker and Reece Miller, and me. University of South Carolina graduates and Southern girls at heart, we share a love for fashion and feel extremely fortunate to be able to work together and make our dream of owning a boutique a reality. Our family trio allows us to specially select merchandise to meet the needs and demands of our Columbia market, ranging from the college student to my generation, whatever that is.
