Want to do some holiday shopping, without feeling completely guilty? Starting Dec. 4, The Junior League of Columbia’s 29th Annual Holiday Market opens in the Cantey Building at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds. With the theme, Believe, the Holiday Market Committee will create a spectacular holiday experience that will be infused with memories of Miracle on 34th Street, Macy’s magic and classic holiday traditions.
Over the past 29 years, the Holiday Market has raised more than $2 million for the community and serves as the JLC’s largest annual fundraiser. They aim to make the 2014 Holiday Market the most successful fundraiser for the JLC to date and to raise awareness of local initiatives that the JLC supports in the community.
This year, the Holiday Market consists of special events each day including the Preview Party and Silent Auction, Ladies Night Out and PJs with Santa (for the big and little ones). These all require special tickets but are full of fun surprises.
General admission tickets are $8 per person and include entry to all four days of the market during regular hours. Children 12 and under are admitted free. For more information on how to get involved or more details on attending visit jlcolumbia.org.
