Makeeba Pough, DMD
Honored to be selected again as a Top Dentist for 2023, Loretta Felder McKelvey, DDS, has decided to retire after 35 years of practice, passing the baton to Makeeba Pough, DMD. Dr. Pough is honored to transition into University Dental, working with a team that shares a passion to provide the highest level of personalized care to all patients.
A South Carolina native, Dr. Pough is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina. She has been practicing for eight years and spent the past five years in West Columbia. Dr. Pough is a wife to a loving husband and mother to two sons. She will continue to operate University Dental with Dr. McKelvey’s foundational saying: “Good oral health is a partnership, and patient education is the cornerstone of our practice.”
