Nicholas Keefer, DDS; Thomas Trinkner, DDS
Thomas Trinkner, DDS, was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. He graduated cum laude from University of South Carolina. He graduated from Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1983 and has been in private practice in Columbia since 1984. In 1998, Dr. Trinkner was awarded Accredited Member status by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry — the first dentist in South Carolina with such a distinction.
Throughout his career, Dr. Trinkner has established prestige in the dental field as an associate instructor, publication editor, and editorial board member, as well as a global lecturer in the field of Aesthetics and Complex Restorative Dentistry.
Now, Dr. Trinkner is expanding the practice by welcoming Nicholas Keefer, DDS, as his associate. Dr. Keefer spent his childhood in Cincinnati, Ohio, and high school years in Charlotte, North Carolina. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Appalachian State University and earned his doctorate of dental surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2021. Dr. Keefer is being mentored by Dr. Trinkner while navigating his own AACD accreditation.
Together, the doctors work under the philosophy of high-quality care with a personal approach. They seek to restore health and happiness to their patients’ smiles with conservative treatment plans and innovation. Not only do they collaborate with local specialists, the doctors also work directly with the patients to understand their personal needs.
