Nikki Gilmore has been in education for 24 years. Twenty of these years have been in Richland School District Two. As the Magnet Curriculum Specialist at Rice Creek Elementary School of Academics, Innovation and Leadership (SAiL), she builds strong working relationships as well as helps to create an environment conducive for learning.
Gilmore is certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, which is recognized as the “gold standard” in teacher certification. She is an accomplished middle childhood generalist who believes her students are future problem-solvers who will make significant contributions locally, regionally, nationally, and globally.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina, Bachelor of Arts in Education from Columbia College, a Master of Arts in Divergent Learning from Columbia College, and Education Specialist in Administration from Cambridge College.
One of her favorite quotes is from Henry Ford, “Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” Gilmore has two daughters who attend schools in Richland Two and a son who is a graduate. In her free time, she also enjoys singing in her church choir, making hair bows, hanging out with friends and family, and burning off calories and stress by going to Zumba!
