At his law firm, Neal M. Lourie carries on the family tradition of helping injured workers in South Carolina that his father, the late Senator Isadore Lourie, started more than 60 years ago. “My father taught me to stand up for those in need and for those who don’t have a voice,” says Neal Lourie. This principle has guided the younger Lourie in his 26 years of practicing law in South Carolina.
Lourie has successfully represented thousands of people who sustained serious personal injuries because of on-the-job accidents, automobile accidents, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, premise liability accidents, and nursing home abuse/neglect incidents.
“I take great pride in helping the hardworking people of our state when they have suffered an on-the-job injury,” he says. “We do everything within our legal knowledge, experience, and training to fight for our clients.” Furthermore, Lourie, a former prosecutor, also has defended many high-profile criminal cases.
Lourie is a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice, the Injured Workers’ Advocates, and the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He serves as the co-chair of the annual South Carolina Bar’s Essentials Workers’ Compensation seminar. He authored several articles in Handling the Auto Injury Claim published in 2008.
