Deborah Barbier
Debbie Barbier helps people and companies who are facing extremely difficult circumstances. She is a former federal prosecutor with a wealth of courtroom experience, defending companies and individuals facing a wide range of criminal charges or involved in high stakes civil litigation. Having served as the former head of the White Collar Crime division, the Qui Tam division, and the Asset Forfeiture divisions in the United States Attorney’s Office in South Carolina, Debbie has spent her career dealing with federal, state, and local law enforcement.
Over the past 28 years, Debbie has litigated some of South Carolina’s most high profile cases involving public corruption, securities fraud, health care fraud, mortgage fraud, wire and mail fraud, bank fraud, drug diversion, immigration, racketeering, and tax evasion. With her vast experiences, she can help people and companies deal with the stress and distractions inherent in investigations and litigation.
Debbie is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Litigation Counsel of America. She is a recipient of the Compleat Lawyer Award. She has served as an Adjunct Professor for the USC School of Law and has been consistently named to the South Carolina Super Lawyers list and America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators.
