In July 2017, Nick Ruggiero, DMD, opened Crescent Prosthodontics. He and his team have since been committed to offering comprehensive, world class, patient-oriented care. Dr. Ruggiero is honored to be recognized as a Top Dentist in Columbia.
Dr. Ruggiero is a specialist in prosthodontics, a branch of dentistry that focuses on restorative and whole-mouth care. As a boutique dental office in downtown Columbia equipped with the latest technology for diagnostics and treatment, Crescent Prosthodontics provides a wide array of specialty services from general dental care, dental esthetics and cosmetics, dental implant surgery to comprehensive rehabilitations. He and his staff are known for their gentle, personalized care.
Dr. Ruggiero is the co-director of the Midlands Dental Collaborative, a professional community of practitioners that meet to present cases and discuss aspects of patient care. The Collaborative provides a forum for local dentists to continue their education on a range of subjects including dental implants, dental biomaterials, and innovative techniques.
A husband and father of three girls, Dr. Ruggiero also holds a faculty position at MUSC’s College of Dental Medicine in the department of Removable Prosthodontics. Dr. Ruggiero and Crescent Prosthodontics are devoted to fulfilling their mission to provide compassionate care to families and individuals with the highest standards of excellence and integrity.
