“In classical Christian education, we recognize that education is the cultivation of wisdom and virtue by nourishing the soul on truth, goodness, and beauty so the student may glorify God and enjoy Him forever.” — Patsy Hinton, Head of School

First and foremost, Covenant Classical Christian School is a Christian school. They incorporate the methods and content unique to a classical education. As a distinctly Christ-centered school, they place the Word of God at the center of all learning by boldly acknowledging that all things come from our Creator and that every area of life must be subject to glorifying Him. A classical education includes the methods for teaching children as God has created them and by recognizing the developmental stages of grammar, logic, and rhetoric.
A classical education at Covenant includes a distinguished curricular program that includes Suzuki violin, phonics, and cursive penmanship beginning in kindergarten, along with Latin, formal logic, rhetoric, philosophy, hermeneutics, and apologetics, in addition to an advanced course of study in literature, history, math, and science. Fine arts learning includes violin, choral music, and art instructions from kindergarten through 12th grade.
They aim to develop young men and women with the noble character habits of humility and courage, who will love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. “We desire that the affections of the Covenant graduate’s heart will be set on those things which are good, true, and beautiful, so they may live a life of purposeful service to God and man,” says Patsy Hinton. “Our graduates are prepared to graciously defend their faith and apply God’s Word as the standard in all areas of life, pursue academic scholarship at the highest levels, and assume the duties of responsible citizenship, equipped to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, ‘in whom are hidden all treasures of wisdom and knowledge.’”
