Lexington Medical Center Foundation will host the 11th annual “Women’s Night Out” on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center in downtown Columbia. With more than 800 people attending, Women’s Night Out celebrates breast cancer survivors through awareness, education and fellowship.
The evening opens with a health and wellness exhibit that includes the opportunity to speak with Lexington Medical Center physicians, information on breast cancer risks and screening recommendations. Participants also enjoy a silent auction featuring more than 100 exciting culinary, salon, home ware, and travel packages.
Guests then move to a seated dinner when the program begins at 6:30 p.m. with a fashion show featuring breast cancer survivors, dinner and the keynote address. The keynote speaker this year is breast cancer survivor Jennifer Hodges. Diagnosed in her early 40’s, the wife and mom of three young children will talk about how a 3-D mammogram saved her life.
Proceeds from Women’s Night Out benefit the Crystal Smith Breast Cancer Fund to support the “Campaign for Clarity,” a capital campaign designed to save lives with early detection by expanding 3-D mammography throughout the Lexington Medical Center network of care.
Women’s Night Out tickets are $40 and can be purchased by visiting www.lmcfoundation/wno.
