The Columbia Summer Repertory Dance Company will have its inaugural performance, sponsored by the Jasper Project and directed by Stephanie Wilkins. The purpose of this project is to provide dance experience for local audiences and professional dancers, who often go without performance opportunities for seven months of the year. Head choreographer Stephanie Wilkins will present four works, and guest choreographers Angela Gallo and Dale Lam will present works as well. Lawrence Ogina from Kenya and Artists for Africa will be a guest performer. Also musical performances by Mark Rapp and Debbie and the Downers, featuring vocalist Ashley Hayes.
