Southern Guitar Festival

The Southern Guitar Festival and Competition (SGFC) is an annual musical event that brings world-caliber musicians to Columbia, SC. The SGFC strives to inspire and educate guitar professionals, students, and concert audiences. The SGFC features concerts, master classes, lectures, workshops, and an international guitar competition.

The Southern Guitar Festival and Competition (SGFC) is a two-day event that will be held in Columbia, SC on June 7 – 9, 2019. During the Festival, concerts will be presented that will feature up local and international artists. The Festival will also feature master classes and workshops that are open to the public. During these three days, guitarists from all over the world will have a chance to compete for cash prizes and concert opportunities. Guitarists, ages 8 and up, are eligible to participate in the competition. The Competition is open to the public to attend. The SGFC will be hosted by the Richland Library.
