Crossroads: Change in Rural America is an interactive, Smithsonian-created installation that will be on display in the Opera House lobby. This exhibit offers small towns a chance to look at their own paths to highlight the changes that affected the fortunes over the past century. The exhibition will prompt discussions about what happened when America’s rural population became a minority of the country’s population and the ripple effects that occurred. The local committee has created free events for our community, designed by our community, about our community hoping to spark conversations about what is next for our piece of rural America
