Public Lecture with Retired Astronaut Clay Anderson

FreeThe Midlands Astronomy Club (MAC) and the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of South Carolina have partnered to present a public lecture to the Columbia community this summer.
Join us as retired U.S. astronaut Clayton C. Anderson gives a public lecture about his experiences training on Earth and living in space! Clay has logged 167 days in space and over 38 hours of EVA in six spacewalks! He will also share his story of perseverance and how he tried 15 times before getting accepted into the astronaut corps.
The USC Bookstore and Barnes & Noble College are hosting a book signing immediately following the event and will have Clay’s books available for purchase.
This public lecture will take place on Thursday, June 6 at the W.W. Hootie Johnson Performance Hall in the Darla Moore School of Business (Room #101) at 7:00 pm. The content will be presented at a level accessible to a broad general audience. This lecture is free of charge and all are welcome to attend. No reservations are required, but seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
