Grammy and Dove-Award Winning Christian Singer/Songwriter Laura Story Coming to CIU

Popular Christian music artist Laura Story returns to her alma mater, Columbia International University on Nov. 4 for a Homecoming concert. Story is a 2003 graduate of CIU who grew up in Spartanburg.
Story began her music career as the bass player for the local Christian band Silers Bald and would later gain national recognition for writing “Indescribable” which went to the top of the Christian music charts in 2004 for Christian vocalist Chris Tomlin. By 2012, her recording of “Blessings,” a song she also wrote, won a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Song. She has also been honored with six Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards.
Story’s CIU concert comes at the start of a year-long celebration of CIU’s 100th anniversary. A weeklong Global Mission Conference will just be ending and a weekend of Homecoming 2022 activities just beginning.
