AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 MINUTES!

August 29, 2019 @ 7:00 pm

$30 – $50

Ensemble Eclecitca is thrilled to present its new interdisciplinary show “Around the World in 80 Minutes!” on August 29, 7 pm at Senate’s End, Columbia, SC. We will feature not only a live orchestra comprised of the internationally renowned musicians – USC faculty and its alumni, but also showcase local dance studios and their artistic directors who have been contributing to the Columbia Arts scene for a long time: The Academy of Lexington Youth Ballet with its Artistic director Regina Willoughby, Maria Palacio and her Alegria Bellydance Studio, Evadne Medina, theatrical dancer and founder of Dancing Through the Skirt movement, and Columbia favorites, Zenaida and Ken Broom – all representing different dance genres.

We have partnered with a ceramist Olga Yukhno who will be displaying her artwork before and during the show. Live painting during the production will be created by a visual artist David Smith. Music for this event has been carefully selected by its Artistic and Music director Maestra Suzanna Pavlovsky: “We will take our audiences to a creative journey from Europe (Spain and Italy) to the Middle East (Israel), Latin America (Argentina and Brazil) culminating in the USA. I am excited and honored to present two World Premiers during this show. In addition to the cultural enrichment, we will offer wine and international food samples at the reserved tables to spice up this experience.
