Need a healthy snack full of protein and sure to subside that mid-day hunger? Two Brothers Jerky may be just that — healthy food with a kick.
Co-founded in 2012 by two long-lost brothers, Paul Brock and Eddie Wales have finally reunited to find one seemingly normal resemblance: their love for beef jerky. Adopted by different families at young ages, they both lived very parallel lives — they both attended state colleges and established lives in the Carolinas, they have both run successful restaurants in Southeastern cities and they both enjoy backyard gardening and growing their own heirloom vegetables. It wasn’t long after meeting that the two brothers created a new mutual love: making beef jerky from scratch with Paul’s secret recipes. Hence, Two Brothers Jerky was born.
After wowing their newly united families at holiday gatherings with his handmade, artisan beef jerky recipe, Paul talked with Eddie, and it is now made in-house at Motor Supply Co. Bistro, owned by Eddie, in the Vista.
Two Brothers Jerky is made in small batches with all natural ingredients and comes in three bold flavors: Bull City Original, Famously Hot and Sweet Ninja Teriyaki. As one might guess, Bull City Original captures the vibrancy and smoky flavor of Durham, N.C., while Famously Hot gives the kick of a spicy summer in Columbia. For a sweet flavor that hails from faraway shores, Sweet Ninja Teriyaki does the trick.
The made-from-scratch 100 percent beef jerky is made in-house at Motor Supply Co. Bistro but is now also available for $9.99 online at www.twobrothersjerky.com. For more information check out their Facebook at www.facebook.com/twobrothersjerky or visit Motor Supply Co. Bistro at 920 Gervais St.
