The Columbia Classical Ballet

Photography by Columbia Classical Ballet

The Columbia Classical Ballet launches its new season this fall with a stellar lineup of performances and its largest international company. Dancers from Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, numerous areas throughout Europe, the United States and Canada will be lighting up the stage with their talent this year.

“We’ve brought together dancers from all over the world,” says Radenko Pavlovich, Artistic Director. “The company has gained a reputation as a great place for young dancers who can make a mark on the dance world.”

The season began with “Cabaret Night,” an event with food, drinks, and a performance that introduced the company to the community in an informal setting on Sept. 15 while also serving as a fundraiser for the Classical Ballet.

The first full performance will be “Don Quixote” in October, followed by the “Nutcracker” to kick off the holiday season in December. In January, the Classical Ballet invites guest artists from the best ballet companies throughout the nation for “LifeChance: International Ballet Gala of the Stars,” a night of classical and contemporary dance that also raises money for a local charity. Other performances throughout the year include “Sleeping Beauty” and “La Bayadere.” This season for The Columbia Classical Ballet will not be one to miss!
