What differentiates your business from other specialists in the field?
We are a local boutique firm with a global reach, plus we have the Sotheby’s brand behind us. Our agents bring an emphasis on exceptional service and a practiced eye for recognizing the unique value of a property to every relationship.

How did you get involved with this business?
I purchased the business in 2001 with my current partner, Phillip Lammonds. We were a local real estate firm selling exclusive properties — plantations as well as hunting and waterfront properties. We realized that we needed a marketing arm that was bigger than what we could provide ourselves, so we joined the Sotheby’s brand in 2003. We were one of the first groups to become a Sotheby’s franchise.

What do you like best about your line of work?
Buying a home is a huge life decision. I thoroughly enjoy partnering with clients in obtaining their dreams. It’s so gratifying to develop a sale, or a marketing plan, from beginning to end, and it’s equally gratifying when clients come back to us time and again because of the relationships we have built with them.

What inspires you daily?
I thank God each morning for my health, family and a wonderful group of folks to work with. Coming to the office each day is like coming to my second home. There is always laughter. I battled cancer eight years ago and survived, and I never missed a beat because everyone in this office was there for me. This is my happy place.

What is something people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
As in art, antiques, wine and collectibles, the common denominator of homes represented by Prince George Sotheby’s International Realty is not a particular price range, but rather, the distinctive character of the property. We may list a $13 million plantation and also list a precious historic bungalow for $200,000. We offer million-dollar service for every property we list and every client we represent.
