There is advice on how to find the doctor with the expertise to meet your health needs, tips on asking for referrals, and a variety of websites that provide reviews on doctors all over the country. Selecting the right physician is a personal and important decision, and it is one that can be overwhelming to make alone.
Columbia Metropolitan Magazine is pleased to introduce Premier Physicians© in this issue — the first time our readers have selected the ones whom they consider to be the finest doctors in the Midlands. After allowing outside medical companies for several years to research, vet, and then compile an annual list, we decided to allow the CMM readers to have this honor. In determining the best in local health care, patients are the ultimate experts in this field.
We requested that our readers choose doctors based on quality of overall care, skill and expertise, convenience, availability for appointments, as well as bedside manner and compassion. Through this list, our readers are expressing their appreciation for the level of care they have received from our area’s doctors.
