Collaborative Design
Our goal at Palmetto Tile Distributors is to bring your dreams to reality. Whether you are remodeling a space or building your dream home, we are here to help bring it all together. A critical part of our role is collaborating with interior designers, builders, installers, and homeowners to create spaces reflecting their personal style.
We achieved a quiet elegance in this exquisite primary bath, playing with the size, dimension, and finish of the tiles used. We paired large format 24-inch by 48-inch polished porcelain tiles on the main bath floor and side walls of the shower with smaller marble mosaics on the shower feature wall. Using porcelain as the main field tile allows for easy maintenance and cleaning of the tile without sacrificing style. The beautiful oval window in the shower allows light to dance across the surface of the mosaics, accentuating the glamour of the space. The glass mosaic rug pattern on the floor of the bathroom adds a level of sophistication to the room while grounding the space. Layering finishes gives depth and personality to a space.

Riverside Respite
Situated on the banks of the sprawling Savannah River, this modern residence provides our clients with an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. From the start, we knew that the end goal of this full renovation was to create their perfect paradise. This home was transformed from the ground up, and every detail was meticulously selected to bring our vision to life.
Bespoke details abound in the living room, from the custom Bricker and Beam shelves flanking the fireplace to the architectural-inspired Visual Comfort chandelier. The massive Century sofa welcomes any who enter, providing the perfect space to enjoy the view through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The gas fireplace adds a touch of warmth and coziness, while the grand stone surround keeps with the modern aesthetic. The pivoting Global Views coffee table and overstuffed Century love seat add the final touch, bringing both beauty and function to the space.

Contemporary Living in Lexington
By Lori Seitz
My clients decided it was time to lighten up and recreate a living room with a different vibe. So, they came into Ethan Allen where we met and discussed their needs and their vision for a completely new look. As a busy professional family with three boys, they needed ample and comfortable seating, with style and durability. We selected foundation pieces, such as the four reclaimed wood cubes, used as a coffee table. We selected clean lines in all upholstery, which included neutral, textured sofas and swivel chairs. It was important that the rug and fabric palette be both pretty and cleanable but mainly stylish at the same time.
Working closely with the client, we brought in colors, varying textures in woods and metals, and fabulous patterns in our upholstery, pillows, and rug. Colors in pale blues and grays, as well as patterns, were used to help create a serene room. This created the perfect backdrop for large-scale contemporary art that did not challenge the design’s composition.

Outdoor Living Space to Retreat and Entertain
My clients wanted an outdoor living space where they could entertain and enjoy time with their family and friends. We had a custom pool installed and a pool house outfitted with a kitchen, living space, enclosed bathroom and changing area, and golf cart storage.
Texture and pattern are a great way to add interest and warmth to a space. I selected a beautiful stacked stone with dimension and a reclaimed wood mantel for the outdoor fireplace. For more added warmth, I chose a contrasting stain for the tongue and groove ceiling and fireplace mantel finish. More layers were added with texture, pattern, and a pop of color with the outdoor furniture. This has become the perfect outdoor retreat for my clients to relax and entertain year-round.

Fun and Functional Family Room
My clients came to me looking for help incorporating original art and their love of coastal design into their home. I started with a color palette of blues and greens with all new custom furniture. Each piece is as pretty as it is practical, upholstered in performance fabrics that will be hardworking for a busy family of four. Custom pillows continue the pattern play in pastels, a punch of color is brought in with the rug, and original artwork shines over the couch. A light blue leather ottoman with fully upholstered legs is perfect for movie nights. My client’s 3 year old also likes to use it for his toy truck races!
Over the mantle hangs a rope mirror; its texture and organic shape add interest. A collection of antique blown glass candleholders and spun candlesticks were collected from various antique shops. Pinch pleat curtains soften the windows. The room is now a functional reflection of our clients’ coastal style!

Multi-Purpose
Bonus Room
When these fun, young clients asked to turn their bonus room into a home office they could both use, I was excited to design a functional and beautiful space that captured their style. Once I began, I quickly realized the space was too large for just office use. After considering a few different layouts, I proposed the idea of incorporating a movie room too. They loved the plan; we moved forward full force!
We placed the office side toward the back of the space where the natural light is strong and where the oftentimes unsightly desk items could be contained and less visible from the movie side. The movie viewing area is what you see when first entering the space, so we wanted to incorporate both comfort and design interest. The overall aesthetic goal was to have both a professional and approachable look, so once we established the larger, functional items, we layered the space with art, collectibles, and personal items to make it uniquely theirs.
