What is the mission of your business?
The Harmony Collection at Columbia provides a true, independent retirement atmosphere that allows our residents to enjoy a maintenance free lifestyle. Residents have the freedom to come and go and attack their own bucket list. At The Harmony Collection at Columbia, we offer the benefit of a continuum of care providing options for our residents as their needs change.
What differentiates your business from other specialists in the field?
Harmony is the newest premier retirement community in the area. We offer a great variety of floor plans to suit every preference. Harmony is conveniently located to everything — shopping, dining, airport, medical needs, and for daytrips. Our leadership team is seasoned and understands our customers’ wish list. Offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the goal of our team is to “Wow” our customers.
What inspires you daily?
I’m inspired by the opportunity to open people’s minds to the positive side of living in a retirement community and the opportunity to find solutions to a family’s needs and concerns. I can’t think of a more rewarding way to spend the day.
How has the Columbia community benefitted from your business?
We are providing a wonderful option for retirees to stay in a safe, secure, active environment. By having a multi-care campus, couples don’t have to be totally separated if one needs a higher level of care in our assisted living or the memory care neighborhood. They can still grow older together but benefit from the care we provide. Our location benefits the seniors in our Columbia community. We are close to the interstate and in every direction convenient to wonderful places to visit like the beach, the mountains, downtown Columbia, and Charleston.
How does your company give back to the Columbia community?
We support the ALZ Association as well as hosting events to raise awareness for Parkinson’s and heart health. We also provide speakers for The Shepherd Center of Lexington, Leeza’s Care Connection, and the Jewish Family Service for educational forums. We host a monthly dementia support group for caregivers that is open to the public, and have a Parkinson’s support group. We also try to support local businesses.
