Izzi Suber, Jonathan Suber
How did your business begin?
My daughter did a legacy project for her fifth grade class. Seeing the history of Capital Animal Hospital on a poster board inspired me to continue what was started by my grandfather and continued by my father. We are happy in our Beltline location right around the corner from the original Devine Street location.
What is the mission of your business?
Providing the community with advanced veterinary surgery in a small setting.
What differentiates your business from the other specialties in the field?
Our focus is veterinary orthopedic surgery. I’ve been sub-specialized in orthopedic surgery for the majority of my career. I’ve trained surgery residents as well as veterinarians in orthopedic procedures. It is this experience that sets us apart.
How did you get involved with this business?
At age 14, I started cleaning kennels, washing dogs, and helping out at Capital Animal Hospital. That decision was made by my father. However, those years during high school and college helped solidify my desire to help our pets and their owners.
