What is something people would be surprised to learn about your business?
I think people would be surprised to think about how much the office environment impacts them without their knowing it. So much of the time, people do not give a thought to their office furniture until it impacts them personally. We are here with smart industry-savvy solutions for our clients whenever they reach those critical times, and we will work with your company to fit your budget, timelines, and style.
What is the latest trend in your business?
A standing desk! Too much sitting over the course of a day is not healthy. Research has warned that “sitting disease” is real. If you are sitting at work all day long, research says you should get up every 30 minutes to exercise your body and mind. Freestanding height-adjustable tables play an increasingly important role in contemporary office planning, offering flexibility, user control, and ergonomic performance.
What are the latest developments/innovations in your field?
The ability to photo-realistically render spaces so our clients know what their office will look like before they purchase the product. New visual interfaces give our team the ability to transform ideas into reality. The ability to render spaces and even provide fly-through videos has transformed our business from the old blueprint to a virtual walk through. In the near future we will have the ability to let our customers walk through their space in a virtual reality setting giving them 360-degree views.
What is your biggest challenge?
Of course, the biggest challenge that we are facing is how to handle the return to work/office with COVID-19. What we have found is where we all once wanted to collaborate and work as teams, that will not work with social distancing. So, this means we are moving to a more virtual workplace. While this provides some efficiencies, it does harm the social side of being in the office. How the workplace changes once this pandemic is over is yet to be seen, but it will likely create a new normal that includes shifting to a more virtual workplace.
