What is the mission of your business and what differentiates your business from other specialists in the field?
Our mission is to keep our customers comfortable and safe — and to serve God and our community. Being a female-owned business in a male-dominated industry has challenged us to deliver beyond expectations. We have been successful by treating our employees and customers with honesty, integrity, and competence. We have proudly been voted the Best Heating & Air Service in many local contests over the years. And we’re proud to be celebrating 21 years in the HVAC industry in Columbia!
What is something people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
Our grand dog, Ballou, became our marketing subject years ago. My daughter sent me a picture of him wearing her Ray-Bans, and it was on! I love using Ballou in our creative to help spread his joy along with our message. He makes it easy being such a photogenic and precious subject. Ballou recently celebrated his 10th birthday.
How does your company give back to the Columbia community?
Being a South Carolina contractor, we understand the importance of giving. One in six people in South Carolina, including more than 100,000 children, face hunger daily. Every fall, we host a food drive, asking our customers to “give a can, if they can.” Our staff, friends, customers, and families come together to make our campaign a success.
How has your life experience made you successful in your field today?
Our first year in business I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. By the grace of God, I was able to beat the odds. This began my journey into indoor air quality and the importance of creating and living in a healthy environment.
What is your business’s biggest challenge?
Because of the changes in building codes, indoor air quality has become the biggest challenge in our industry. Many people come to us needing help with poor air quality caused by improperly installed and commissioned heating and air systems. We are experts and can diagnose, repair, and solve any problem with a home air system. Together with a good heating and air system, these products can make any home comfortable, efficient, and healthy.
