What is the mission of your business?
We first began in 1960 as Fort Jackson Federal Credit Union, and we remain committed to our founding principle of people helping people. Our central focus of our mission is our members. We are here to serve our members and provide excellent financial solutions throughout all their life stages. From buying their first car and saving solutions to home ownership, we enjoy helping our members meet their financial goals.
What differentiates your business from other specialists in the field?
Our people and our core values allow us to stand out from the rest. Our members come to us because of our AllSouth team and the great service we provide. We provide all the financial products of a large national bank with the personal service of a local business. We work hard to do what is best for our members and guide them through both good and bad times. You’re not just a number, you’re our neighbor, and we’ll do what we can to assist you and help you grow.
What is something people would be surprised to learn about your business?
People are surprised to learn just how easy it is to join and become a part of the AllSouth family. Anyone living in Richland, Lexington, Newberry, Saluda, Fairfield, Sumter, Kershaw, or Calhoun counties can become a member of AllSouth. With a wide range of products and services including money market, online banking, mortgages, and interest checking, you’ll be able to find solutions for you and your family. If you are interested in becoming a member or have questions, we’d be happy to hear from you.
How does your company give back to the Columbia community?
Supporting our military is the foundation on which AllSouth was built, and we continue this tradition with our annual Soldiers and Vets Charity Golf Tournament. For 22 years, we have been hosting this event and have raised more than $300,000, which has been donated to organizations such as the USO, PAALS, American Red Cross, and other charities whose purpose is to support our military community and their families. Additionally, we work with many other organizations that are improving the quality of life for our neighbors, such as Meals on Wheels, St. Lawrence Place, and the Family Shelter.
