Doubles, preferably side-by-sides, are the traditional shotguns used for bird hunting. Parker, Fox, L.C. Smith and Lefever are some of the manufacturer names that produced the finest shotguns during the golden age of bird hunting in the early 20th century. Passed down from generation to generation, some of these guns are still used today. After many years of hunting with a favorite shotgun, it becomes an old friend —-–– and just the sight of it conjures up fond memories of time in the field.
