Et Cetera: Dreaming of Roses

By Bob Seibels

Photography by Robert Clark

‘Dream Come True’ hybrid grandiflora tea roses are garden showstoppers.

Most people assume hybrid tea roses are difficult to grow and maintain. If you don’t enjoy gardening, then I would agree and not recommend them. In that case, Knock Out roses were developed just for you. On the other hand, with just a minimal amount of consistent care, hybrid tea roses will provide loads of cut flowers from April until first frost.

Hundreds of varieties and colors are available from which to choose, and a healthy plant will bloom for at least 15 to 20 years. If applied as needed on a regular basis, modern rose care products can make the job much easier and more rewarding than it was years ago; no magic is required. I am confident that you will enjoy the fruits of your labor with fresh-cut roses all season.
