Ashley Hearon has been serving the Midlands community longer than any other existing salon. After starting his career with Mr. David’s in 1979, Ashley became engrossed in learning about a high level of color and savvy haircuts. “In those days, it was a magical time to be a hair stylist,” he says. “Sassoon and all the great artists were throwing out high-end signature haircuts.”
After experiencing the quality standards at Mr. David’s, Ashley became impassioned about opening his own hair salon, which he did in 1986 on Gervais Street. His business grew over the years, and in his new location in the Keenan Building on Lady Street, three hair stylists work alongside him: Joye Fowler, Gina Davis and Keri Johnson Bailes. Each has received national and international training and offers multi-dimensional color with foils as well as the most sophisticated cuts and styles. The salon’s most popular products include O&M, Redken, Goldwell, Pureology and Brazilian Blowout.
LaDonna Wilson, esthetician and massage therapist, provides an extensive selection of services including microdermabrasion, micro-current face lift and deep hydration facials. LaDonna, using Glo-therapeutics, has received national training with chemical exfoliation and with the Sugaring Hair Removal System.
Ashley is quite proud of his team, which has a combined 100 years of experience. “We all share the same sentiments about serving our clients,” he says. “We never give up on getting it right. We always achieve the best result for each individual. There is nothing like giving someone a new lease on life by transforming their style. When clients leave my salon looking their best, it makes me feel exquisite.”
It’s been said that beauticians aren’t magicians, but Ashley’s Alley proves that theory all wrong.
