For two years, Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College has showcased excellence in performance art, making it a destination for acclaimed traveling performances and conventions such as hosting the first sold-out crowd for the first-ever TedXColumbiaSC event. Now in its third season, Harbison Theatre has constructed an impressive lineup of talented artists in music, dance, theater, and other programming.
On Oct. 12 and 13, the theatre hosts famed dance company Pilobolus Dance Theater, a troupe of modern dance artists whose poignant, contemporary style amazes theatergoers worldwide. One of the most influential troupes in the country, Pilobolus highlights the geometry of the human form and explores the infinite ways in which dancers can connect and interact.
The 27,000 square-foot Harbison Theater holds 400 seats, and its technical specifications are some of the most robust in the state, promising a rich performance for attendees. Tickets start at $25. The performances begin at 7:30 p.m.
