Seibels is on a mission to provide best-in-class insurance services to the property and casualty insurance industry. From renovations of its historic headquarters to the implementation of world-class technology, the soon-to-be 150-year-old company is committed to honoring its heritage while investing in its future.
Seibels recently announced its selection of Guidewire InsurancePlatform™ to help grow its BPO business. By standardizing its offerings on Guidewire’s modern software technology platform, Seibels is able to strengthen its position in the marketplace, enhance operational efficiencies, and improve business agility.
Significant renovations of the company’s headquarters on Lady Street are also underway. Due to its historical significance, the 1949 portion of the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places and is listed as a historic landmark in the City of Columbia.
In addition to renovations and a new technology platform, Seibels is continually growing its talent pool as the company believes that its people are its biggest asset. The Seibels team is a balanced, vibrant combination of experienced professionals and those new to the industry. The company recently launched a Recent Graduate Claims Trainee Program and hired four graduates from the University of South Carolina.
Seibels remains ever-committed to the Columbia community and is an active member of iTs-SC, Columbia’s Insurance Technology and Services cluster. Seibels continues to raise awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through annual fundraising efforts. This year, Seibels and its client, Gulfstream Property & Casualty Insurance Company, raised $74,651 for the 2017 Great Strides Campaign benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Seibels has also supported several additional charities through its Charitable Giving Program, including SCOA Cares, the YMCA, and the American Cancer Society.
