As the largest kidney specialty practice in South Carolina, Columbia Nephrology Associates provides a wide range of services and compassionate care. Services include patient care for chronic kidney disease, dialysis, anemia management, hypertension, vascular access, kidney biopsies, and kidney transplant recovery.
As a partner in patient care, Columbia Nephrology does not replace a primary care physician. Instead, the practice works closely with referring physicians and provides constant communication and timely reports that keep patients’ referring physicians up to date on their health and wellness.
For the convenience of patients, Columbia Nephrology offers an online patient portal, which provides secure access to healthcare information. This portal allows for direct communication with members of a healthcare team.
Physicians are affiliated with all the area’s major hospitals including all Palmetto Health campuses, Lexington Medical Center, and Providence Hospitals where they visit patients and provide dialysis and patient consultations. Columbia Nephrology physicians are affiliated with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine where they play an active role in teaching residents at Palmetto Health.
By partnering with Fresenius Vascular Care, the leader in outpatient vascular care, the practice offers the only Vascular Access Center in the area. Plus, it offers several types of access procedures, which are made possible through this partnership.
With more than 22 dialysis locations throughout the Midlands, Columbia Nephrology offers dialysis management that is convenient for patients and their loved ones. Columbia Nephrology currently has four locations to serve patients and their healthcare needs. The main office is in Columbia on Park Central Drive, while other locations include 909 Carolina Drive, Lugoff, South Carolina; 2850 Kinard Street, Newberry, South Carolina; and a new location located at 115 North Sumter Street, Suite 315, Sumter, South Carolina.
