“We are poised to minister to the next generation of seniors. It is exciting to be a part of an organization that is committed not only to industry leadership, but also to the greater good of our larger community.”

How did Still Hopes begin?
Still Hopes was brought to life by a generous gift from the Guignard Family. The family gave their estate, Still Hopes Mansion, on 38 acres to Trinity Cathedral in 1965 for the purpose of creating a senior living community. We opened in 1977 with our first seven residents.
What is the mission of your business?
We at Still Hopes have sought faithfully to fulfill our mission: “To provide a faith based community where life will be rich and full as God intends it to be, holding to our values, serving one another with dedication, and promoting health and wellness for all.”
What differentiates your business from other specialists in the field?
Eight years ago we built the state-of-the-art Marshall Shearouse Center for Wellness, featuring a junior Olympic length pool, the latest in aerobic equipment, and ample space for group classes and personal training. Others wondered why we were investing in such a wellness center; today, communities come from all over the country to see how we do it and to learn how a wellness focus is an effective strategy for living well.
What inspires you daily?
I am inspired daily by the commitment of our exceptional staff to care for our residents as they work tirelessly to keep Still Hopes as our industry’s leader. We value resident satisfaction and strive to exemplify a new expectation for senior living.
What is the latest trend in your business?
Society has begun a major generational wave; the 65+ population is going to double in the next 40 years. Through our current expansion, WellPointe, an 81 unit, five story apartment building that will feature the latest in biophilic design (bringing healthy exterior elements in to our interior space), we are poised to minister to the next generation of seniors. It is exciting to be a part of an organization that is committed not only to industry leadership, but also to the greater good of our larger community … that is Still Hopes!
